Madrid lives photography with passion
If the last edition of PHotoESPAÑA had 90 exhibitions and more than 530 artists, this year will be no less. This summer event will have a total of 76 venues, a great program for professionals in the sector, as well as a great proposal for the general public.

Circle of Fine Arts and Space Fundación Telefónica

You can find it in the tourist area of Sol and La Gran Vía in Madrid, at calle Alcalá 42. And, until September 16, the Players exhibition, by Magnum photographers. Another option that you should not miss is the work of William Klein, called Manifesto . In this case, you can go from June 7 to September 21, also in the Sol/Gran Vía tourist area, specifically on Calle Fuencarral, 3.
We invite you to enjoy
Puerta del Sol is an essential and emblematic place in Madrid. You can go walking from the Gran Vía to the Plaza de España, whose atmosphere has cafes and tapas bars open at any time. You can recharge your batteries with French food in the restaurant "La Esquina del Real" and tour the area enjoying the most emblematic buildings of Madrid, such as the Metropolis Building with its dome with the Phoenix. In the middle of the afternoon we recommend having a coffee at the El Corte Inglés cafeteria restaurant, which is very popular for its excellent views.
On the other hand, this area gives you a lot of fun, because you can go shopping and, if you are going to leave later, the Theaters open their doors at night, like the Coliseum, but not before having tapas in "The Ham Museum ”.
Royal Botanical Garden
You can go to the Clément Verger exhibition, whose title is ENDEAVOUR. The Eucalyptus, a case study (Official Section. PHotoEspaña), from June 6 to 30. You can find it in Plaza Murillo, 2. This is a tourist area par excellence called Paseo del Arte or del Prado. As it could not be missing, we recommend you visit the Prado and Reina Sofía museums . But first you have to rest and eat. Options?
If Japanese food is your thing, we recommend the Green Tea Sushi & Cocktail at The Westin Palace Hotel or the Saori restaurant. But if you fancy something more Spanish, your place is, without a doubt, El Barril de las Cortes or the Palacio de Cibeles. You choose.
Fernán Gómez Cultural Center of the Villa
The exhibitions O outro capítulo, by Delio Jasse, (Official Section. PhotoEspaña) and Playground, by Elina Brotherus, (Official Section. PhotoEspaña) will be open from June 5 to July 21 at Plaza Colón, 4. Paseo del Arte .

The Ultimátum a la Tierra exhibition (PHotoEspaña. Festival Off) at Calle Santa Teresa, 10, is in the tourist area of Salesas, from May 30 to July 27. It is a particularly interesting area for its dedication to independent fashion , design and culture.
We suggest you visit the Palacio de Longoria, an example of modernism in the capital, the exclusive and independent fashion stores and beauty salons. This area is a medieval crossroads, perhaps that is why it is so unique and welcoming.
Have a beer at the Santa Bárbara brewery, a place that combines tradition and modern design. Or visit Barbara Ann, a very frequented and famous cocktail bar in the capital. And if you go in the morning, enter the Barceló Market on Fernando VI street.
As you can see, combining your passion with tourism can be delicious. While you go to your PHotoESPAÑA appointments, you will take the opportunity to get to know the city, its monuments, its most emblematic streets, the most up-to-date fashion stores, such as Elisa Rivera's , and internationally famous art museums.
